For Earth Day

Today is the day of the earth And I am glad That all my days Are only todays And what I call my yesterdays Is just another name For the memory of a today, And what I call my tomorrows Is just another name For a day that might not be again If I trasnpired Like water from a leaf Enters another cycle Without disbelief Or if the earth continues Despite its grief Since we like scorpions Come with claws To suckle at his sweet milk And for all its sustenance and relief Soon there is nothing more to bilk The puncture wound of greed Grows inflamed red upon its breast And tomorrow Like a raisin withers and die Brings no other rising of the sun And all my life To a senseless conclusion.

L'Nass very gifted poetry - My daughter and I planted a tree out in our yard and she was just beaming as we did - We certainly have raped our own planet and I fear a heavy cost will soon be upon us all - Another great poem - God Bless, MJ

tom orrow your life will have a rising sun, your life iisnt made to come to a senseless conclusion, your life with all the struggles like all is worth it,and you are needed especially here to give us your words of wisdom, the truth of injustice and cries of other countries-cos we care!and this is wonderfully written, how you entwined yesterday today and tomorrow-i love it

Awesome write with great truth. However, I remain hopeful, great change has begun. Though slow, I must believe it will come back, for the future generations. Our children, and theirs, and theirs. I continue to do my part, and if we all do, we who care unselfishly, will overpower the greed. Happy earth day my friend, let us hope and let us do. Love, Shar
