Foolish

You told me I was beautiful You told me I was perfect You told me just the thought of me brought butterflies to your stomach You told me to trust you because you would always be there But in the end you fooled me and left me standing here Now that I'm alone; I can cleary see That forgetting you won't be quite that easy Now all I can do is imagine what we could have been And try to forget all the things that were said I'm the kind of person that keeps things bottled up inside But with you I can't help but not let my feelings hide My friends tell me that it's over and that you've moved on But I'll never forget just how foolish I was
