Silence screams Deafening the sound Of trees singing A melody in tune with Tender green grass Almost as wise As the foolish words Warning hearts To listen up, never fall Into a love so deep Drowning totally In the joyous flow Of river’s lapping laughter Soothing, calming, assuring Hopes will be forlorn Poetry breathes Ancient mysteries Sincere promises alive With hues of passion and light Wistful and bright with rhyme Drenching my soul In dark, forbidden dew Of yearning, lingering poverty Starving for the words Hidden beneath my verse Whispers of doubt Calling out to the light Shimmering with insight Wonders so very subtle Faint as the softest leaf falling Alive with zealous Affection for the one Who opens the heart to give With an unselfish honesty Generous and bounteous Love like this is wild Like a willful young child Making the mother pursue To the ends of the gardens And through the woods In search of the adored Love lingers on the air Praying psalms to the creator Who knows that we share In worship that is our prayer The harmony between words Folded in stanzas light And vibrant with feeling Murmuring joy and richness Through writers who dream visions There are ambitions, wishes Wise and warm and true Who beckon to the naked hopes Of those who know that life Is rising up to meet the challenge Fling away doubt and confusion Let fear depart your heart And smile the smile of one who knows This time is meant for love Love that dances like fireflies Love that teaches the heart To appreciate life And listen to the sigh Refreshing and thankful For God’s Holy guidance Love like this is alive Breathing devotion and encouragement To the soul who knows Inspiration and insight come alive Inside the heart who loves unconditionally
