~flowing Discourse~
i)
It’s hard to listen
to a broken man flapping
in the wind of his own speech,
while a void waits like poised snake
ready to strike,
and it isn’t easy just to watch
him suffocate beneath sobs
of self imposed sorrow,
but what else can I do
to clear the space he blocks.
ii)
I never considered myself a barricade
something you could hide behind,
and I thought we’d always find
a way to stop erosion.
iii)
doesn’t matter
that its quiet
now the door
has closed upon
your screams.
I don’t need
to scale your back
to see over
your thoughts.
iv)
I am arid,
burning in a drought.
v)
I am free to flood the plain.
