Floating

Suntanned toes Submerged and swirling tepid water In lazily summer circles While I float Dangling fingers, barely skimming the surface Hypnotic lapping little waves Caress the warm plump vinyl inner tube While I float Strands of hair dipping into the lake As I gaze upward at Forever bright blue summer sky And clouds like carded cotton fibers Floating slowly by Sun kissed thighs and freckled knees Bobbing slightly with the breeze While I float And perfect summer flows Around my suntanned toes
