Flight To Honey Moon

The moon hangs, shines, fully bright; gliding, it nudges the day's light. When love crackles in the heart like kindling in a winter hearth, faces flame, the glow of seven suns; eyes glisten the mystery of one plus one. Honeycomb, honey drips in the moon like milk in merry hearts that soon hold out the promise of love amid life's grating challenges. The sun may blaze and scotch and smart; love, like honey flows from the heart, fresh milk from the udder of pampered flock, cuddling at the foot of the rock. Faith in Christ is sweet as honey. Sweeter than honey, His word only, as nectar to the bee. Hope bonds two as one while they hug, chiming: I do. And off they fly to honey moon. © 2016 Celestine S. Ikwuamaesi
