Lovely to have you visiting, Debbie! Do not worry...spring will soon be here! Luckily today we had a sunny warm day all through. Went to watch the Carnival floats; lots of people turned up, but then carnival is very popular in Malta! Later found time to go watch a movie at the cinema, with my granddaughter..."Hero 6" ... very entertaining. All the best. // paul

Bravo on such a descriptive set of images the soul and the depth of its mysterious forest! Another 7 my friend and admiration for getting so much packed into so few words!

This was a wonderful piece, Paul. You captured a tremendous picture with effortless ease - all the while using metaphor and alliteration in a handful of words. Soul's foliage - definitely the stand out in this tiny little gem!

Many thanks Dorian for the great comments!! I am so pleased that you came back to re-read this short poem. The contest results are out; there were many beautiful entries, so it was no surprise that mine did not make it to the winners' list. /x/ paul

This one is very expressive and descriptive. It reads like a winner to me.I know the feeling of the last line when looking at the colors in fall. Thanks for the visit to my page.I wrote the Monoku from feelings of a decorated tree and the children who came for our family get together now gone. There is a tree with no gifts and no Santa will come.Kind of sad but then I remembered when the children were small and we got the tree and got it decorated and they had konked out and there was that quiet.S

I'm glad I got your Monoku right, Sara. I am very pleased that you found this Crystalline to your liking. Unfortunately the winning list is out and it's not on it. I look at that as one negative comment; not bad when compared to the positive ones! Take care. // paul

I'm glad you like it Richard; this form might be short, but it can be tricky, too, especially when we have to make sure that we are not repeating what others say. // paul
