"fish"
“Fish”
A fish can sway and swim in the sea,
but can never walk like you and me.
They can float in mid-liquid and glide in the wide open water,
but will never feel the cool breeze of the air that we squander.
A fish can climb a mountain so high, but can swim away at any time.
The air adds risk and poses a challenge,
that’s why only few have climbed up Our mountains.
If the fish really wished, they could take on the risk,
but air would impair their life that they’d miss.
“So why jump off a cliff without any water? Why would we ever take such an offer?”
“If the valleys below and the mountains up high are just as easily swam as climbed, then
why would we choose such a dangerous life?”
the fish would say.
But it’s because they are fish that they choose to stay fish,
and never step fin out of sea.
Because bubbles are the troubles that they have in the sea,
but for you and me,
we need them to breathe.
