First Kiss

Listen with a beckoned ear. The way a tandem flock Assembles to the gravity of warmth. Fearlessly cascading the open sky. Only to veer for nourishment Or an unpredictable speck of dust. A kiss is first science, then art. Osculating the geometric curves of the fit. Once true, a kiss becomes abstract to the senses. Perceptively measured by taste and texture. Come. Please. While we are nestlings in this season. Let’s experiment. Perhaps practice with a pallet and brush.

I agree with Andrea, this is a most interesting write about a kiss. I even had to look up the word "osculate" to see what it meant. lol Great job! ps. If you are wondering where I have been in terms of reading your work, I don't get the chance to read or write as many as I'd like, and only today found you. Keep going with that pen!

If one was pondering THE first kiss in all of time, what do you think would work as a descriptive title?

Thank you, Andrea, for giving this poem the greatest gift: your time. Few will understand the elegant complexity of such an instinctual act.
