First Day of April

FIRST DAY OF ARRIL The ground still crunches ‘neath my step Yet this mild sense of renewal Eyes still overcast dirty snow rotting leaves that endless roof of gray clouds Yet this mild sense of renewal The calendar’s 24th day strikes a Sunday short sleeve warmth Easter! Yet this lingering fact of winter Discouraging But the wide mild whiff thought of spring overrides EVERYTHING! And I am born once again

Exactly.! Way to go my friend. WHEN THAT FIRST BREATH OF SPRING ARRIVES, I become like that little dog - you know - the one in the cartoon - 'Snoopy'. I fell Like I am rising 3 feet above the ground. Wonderful writing my friend and thank you for your kind comments on 'How a Blue Rose Came to Be'. Love Lainie

Those feelings of renewal that come with spring seem to be brought on by the site of flowers peering out of the ground again. Hope the remnants of winter are leaving you behind, Daver. Enjoy springtime! Love, Carolyn
