First Argument

A dizzy spiral I carry my anger like a rock under my tongue. Rosy days of courtship we clung together like twins. Our loving a beacon of light drawing the world into its warmth. What now? The illusion is gone, the light stilled. Can nothing resurrect that passionate beam? How has love turned to pain? We face one another across the breakfast table. You eat eggs. I suck on my rock.
