First Sunbeam

FIRST SUNBEAM Ray of clear sun shows Across the heaps of snows The whiteness's rival, Announcing the soon arrival Of a host of its fellows - Welcome yellows, Not yet melting - Calling distantly to spring. A simple beam of light Warning the winter’s white: Our time is now, brother - You must move over for another ……………………………………………………………… Note: Canadian winters can be long and severe, and the first hint of an ending is when the sun breaks through, even though it is still freezing weather. . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . I really can relate to these words; about two weeks ago we were still experiencing snow and ice in my part of the world. I like winter, but it was really extending its stay for too long. Very nice to read Sydney!
