Oh, fleeting fireflies, glowing gems of night,
elusive sparks that celebrate day's end,
your mini fireworks rise before my eyes
erupting out of nowhere in the dark
like flashing souls against a sky of black.
Like fireflies, I will glow in dark of night,
a brilliant spark to celebrate the end,
with bursting fireworks lighting up my soul,
its luminescence, blinding still my heart,
as death's adventure lifts me to the stars.
