Finest Day

The snow falls outside All the ash levitates Im not concerned with dates From this i cant hide I throw on my jacket Which raises a commotion Its warmth and i lack it Im like the deep cold ocean So shoot me down Shoot the whole town With your revolver But youre no problem solver You could wander the city With your artificial dignity For you i have no pity You are all that is gritty If i must fall before your gun I shall do it with without falling I will fight until the battle is won Quick hands is what im hauling So lets get out on the dusty street We must settle this once for all Because its our skill that must meet One of us must answer Gods call Youre just a corrupt official Everything about you is superficial So come on out sheriff Ill punish your mischief You finally come out This will be legendary I have no doubt And you speak wiith sudden clarity: "Now watch everyone While i kill this man Put into him all the bullets i can Until im satisfied and done" But i know your prophesy is a falsity I know that my rebellion shall come through And our way will not be faulty For it does not involve anything to do with you We spread apart five feet then ten We back up so the space is twenty Even though im not used to killing lawmen My hand is steady but nerves i have plenty Its time for the gun to decide though Time for everything to be put away I dont let any of my fear show And realize that it has become my finest day (its a western!)
