Final Flight

Last hug. Torn from my arms, you fly with the angels. I see Heaven's gate opening----- for you.

Your sincere words are a great comfort, Maurice. Thank you. I just posted today, "My little Soldier Boy" In memory of Gary on Veteran's Day.

Thank you for your kind words, Jimbo, and for commenting. I did not realize this poem hadn't been commented on yet. So sorry you had this experience, too. I was remembering my son, Gary, age 13, who died in 1983 from Cystic Fibrosis. The loss still sharp! He died in Nov so time triggers memories. If you care to share your loss, I'm here. Blessings, Darlene

I see now James (Jimbo) that I did answer you. Well I guess you can handle two responses. And I think your nick name got me confused. Have a peaceful Vet's Day. Darlene

Hi, James, I'm sure I answered you earlier. The only thing I can think of is that I forgot to click on the submit button. I am soooo sorry! Thank you for your comments on how my poem made you feel. And I'm sorry you had to experience a similar death. Death shakes our world worse than any earthquake ever can! Today, I posted another poem about my son, in memory of him. He died on memorial day in '83. "My Little Soldier Boy" But don't read it if it is going to make you sad again. I am a veteran myself. I served 2 yrs. as a WAC. Blessings, Darlene
