Fighting Your Heart

The wisest thing on earth to do When you want so badly to not But you heart so badly pleads within Is to ignore your crying heart For hearts are feeble-gullible fellows They turn this way and that And to please your hear one day is to Break it in the next No, the wisest thing on earth to do When you’re fighting to say no Is to hold tight to a truth some how And to never let it go For truth is stable-it cannot fail It never changes its mind Hearts can be deceived and are at times But they say truth will set you free So stand-stand tall and fight your heart And ignore its feeble cries For truth is the only rock in life So stand-stand firm on truth
