Fields of Corn
We were walking through fields of corn as he carried me upon his shoulders.
Spinning in circles in the greatest delight.
He was my heavenly Father and he was shouldering all my burdens for me.
The wind blew my soft hair and the sun kissed my golden cheeks.
Rows and rows of corn were there, then we separated and played hide-n-seek.
His heart beat faster the closer he got to finding me.
It was a day I'll never forget.
Hide-n-seek with my heavenly Father.
No other day holds a candle to it.
Savoring it in my heart always.
