Field of Green
The sky, the sea, a rainbow,
nature's beauty at hand.
Stars that shine, and moonglow,
ocean waves that touch the sand.
Wildflowers in a field of green,
blossoms of sunshine upon a stem.
Woodands, pleasant and serene,
hushed silence surrounding them.
Cool water of a mountain stream,
flows lazily down the hill.
A peaceful place to laze and dream,
and learn what it means to be still.
A lush forest of redwood trees,
majestically reach for the sky.
Limbs swaying in the breeze,
birds come to perch then fly.
Colors of dawn, the dark of night.
Each year, each week, each day.
Endless beauty there to delight,
Life's true riches on display.
