Feet Made of Clay
Feet Made of Clay
Hear ye this great truth, one I was very blessed to find
carried deeply within my heart , ever present on my mind
Far better to die fighting, going down the very first day
than live wealthy and long , standing on feet made of clay
Set your principles in stone and on your courage always depend
truth and honor are eternal while short are lives of mortal men
Fear not failure, for it is often still the mark of valiant deeds
born of love, courage and mercy sprung from the smallest of seeds
Struggle to stay true to gentle mercies and voices of the right
yet never refuse to fight for righteous truth every day and night
Give freedom the very high road and injustice ever bar it's way
marching strong on steely resolve and never on feet made of clay!
Seek diligently for the essence of ALL that is so very , very right
once blessedly found , hold on dearly and never ever lose sight!
