Feelings From the Seventh Sister

River ever flowing ‘fore Gillette’s “Seventh Sister” nature's beauty thrives scenic view sparks thoughts stone castle amid the trees represents my life A cool winter day exhaling yesteryear's dreams future seems unclear Note: William Gillette's estate, called Seventh Sister, was built in 1914. Connecticut's government took over the property in 1943 and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. For Michael’s “Your Thoughts” contest, by Carolyn Devonshire

Nature's beauty thrives in that stone castle amid the trees exhaling yesterday's dreams and the future seems unclear. That's how I read it Carolyn. tis a beauty and tis life, I believe. wondrous, isn't it? Nice.

oh...and ps...yes, I remember so well, from many years ago, Lisa, and Nancy, Dr. Bob, Barbara, that rascal, John...oh the list goes on....!! Was part of my lunchtime habit....I miss those old soaps!! (also got hooked on Guiding Light!! watched till it ended!) Those are a lost part of TV history!!

I had never heard of this place, until Michael's contest. Now I wished we could live close enough to visit such an enchanting place! What an enchanting poem ....a wonderful series of haiku!!
