Fears and Tears

Fears, tears, and loss so great. Yet it didn’t have to be done. A car swerved, then lost control. Now other lives are gone. Those around so severely hurt. Live changes can’t be undone. Memories, horror, perhaps more loss. Life becomes so cruel for all. All because one chose to drink, then drive. A choice that didn’t have to become. Now he will live… several not… Forgiveness may never come… As fears, tears, and more loss will travel with the one.

You have written such a stirring poem here, Carol-- yes the horrors of drinking driving...I think you summed it up very well in your last line here...
