Fear Street
We can run from it, if we try
We can hide from it, so we think
But it’s right here in us, weaving its web
Right inside lurking, at our every move
Beating like a second heart,
becoming one with our being
Has its own remote start,
as if it begins to control our every step
every action, awaiting reaction
We try to fight it, yet sometimes bask in its comforts
Think we are bright in its light
With just and might we hold up its swords
No denying our inner thoughts in delight
How strong it beats in defeats
How forceful it fights against good not evil
Yet subtly attacks our subconscious
It can be deafening
Yet, longing for freedom
Justify its place in our core
Hold a shield to its space
Such a disgrace to give it face
Let it go
Set if free
Let it be
Just a you
Just a me
It cripples one so much
When power is given and it overtakes
Power, give it no more
As any other dirty bore
We will make more mistakes
That is what life is all about
For in certainty there will be some bouts
Rest assure you are no longer welcome anymore
How lovely a thought
How freeing of the mind
Leaving a trace of it behind
No room no more
As is it just harbored my function
So glad to leave it at the last junction
You play many as a tool
Suck us in your game
Time to tame
The fool
That is you
Release you
Once and for all
Mightier
One can grow tall
Fear.
