Fear of People
People are really quite fearful
meeting a stranger a fearful thing
you don't know how to approach
as not knowing what it will bring
Meeting any person as all are different
ugly, handsome, fat, thin, large, small
so many differences in very many
these are all real human not a doll
So to meet one is really tense
gripping one's heart for it to freeze
making the tongue to totally block
just like in woods full of trees
This has been all of life's experience
battling against this life long fear
in school at work now in retirement
at times painful causing an inward tear
But thanks be to my great God
who truly knows and sees it all
comforts heals and stays close
helps to overcome my every fall
