Wounds of the mind are particularly susceptible to infection which fester if left untreated, the scars can easily be ripped open again. You ask a hard to answer question Eileen. It's up to the individual I suppose, to act in their best intrest. Take care, Richard

I'm tired of being wounded, Richard. I have to develop tough skin. It's hard for me. Sometimes...I just want to check out, but I don't have what it takes...and so I hold on and hope for better days to come. I always give good advice and love to those who need it and yet...I'm the hardest on myself. Go figure. Thanks for being there.

You left such huge comments on my poem Perhaps I Was a Bit Naive. I've responded back, just to let you know. Now onto the poem... I'm often left a bit speechless when reading questionkus... haiku usually fill you with a sense of "a-ha... it all makes sense now"... but with questionkus the opposite is true... you are simply left with a hard to answer question. In my experience the wound always reopens... I keep picking at it, that's the problem.

Timothy! You have so much wisdom! You saw the best angle in this little questionku....Picking at the wounds. You are SO right. I do have a problem with that. My wounds take a LONG time to heal and I get very skittish. Wow! Maybe that is the next poem in the line. Thanks for the support, my friend! :)

But the wound is in a very delicate stage at the moment. If you keep thinking about it and prodding it with your nails, it just prolongs the healing. Sometimes time is the only thing that will heal it... try your best to be patient.
