Favorite One
Morning, morning, brightened day
Blossoming, a fragrant stay
Lifted high a sunny sigh
I found my way
Everyone’s a favorite one
It’s not the where or what you’ve done
We all should often wonder why
It’s all the wooing of the Son
Glued tightly to the world we walk
Seldom thinking as we talk
It seems relief is what we seek
I knew I heard a distant knock?
Little did I know
That majesty, that flow
I only took a peek
Am I an actor in the show?
The lighting of the day was warm
Captured in the softened form
I sensed an endless, perfect peace
A shelter from the rising storm
He came to roll away the stone
That’s blocking my heart’s throne
The golden light will never cease
It’s leading me to find my own
Evening, evening dazzling Sun
Was I looking for the One?
The living daylight comes and goes
Revealing all the work that’s done
Life is fashioned from light
Nothing’s hidden in the night
With everything I say, it shows
That I have chosen what is right?
