Faster Time

My soul and spirit was far too busy caught within my life, That created such anguish with unnecessary strife. Time, is an unwinnable fight, It always grows wings and takes flight. It does not wait or care for us, Is time something that you can trust? Time will soon become the past, Time flies lighting fast. Today as I contemplate the past, I wish it hadn’t gone so fast, And just maybe today my memories of yesterday would’ve last. The future seems to be so near, Every single day the past is becoming more unclear. Clinging to my dreams that are new, I keep searching for more that is true. In this dream I keep running fast but still in place; But I’m going nowhere in this race. Lost time is never found again. Benjamin Franklin
