Mind-boggled and confused, I am- no doubt A trolley-bad soul has left their mark There is something I heard and learned about My sunny-bright morn, has turned a bit dark I learnt this morn, that a dear friend has left A beautiful poet, with talent- best Gone- 'cause of remarks or poetry theft So, all my fine poets, may I suggest... Not be a follow, to those who cause harm These people mean nothing, their loser's- first By chance, you know one...please, sound the alarm To all the fine poets...and rid- the worst Look what they've done, they have saddened our friend If I find who you are...well, that's- the end *Dedicated to Lin Lane

Hi Charlie, This is a good tribute piece to a fine person and poet. I hate to see her go. Why does a poetry site have to be about things other poetry? It mind boggles my how anyone can say anything cruel about Lin and her poetry. She’s one classy lady.I see that she appreciated your kind gesture- Alexis

Hi Charlie, I can't believe that there are people around who are so hateful, and cause such heartache and disharmony among such a wonderful group of friends. I did not know Lin as we never exchanged comments but I have read her comments to others and found her to be a very sincere genuine poetess. Oh Charlie. To merely say I am heartened by your lines would be to undervalue each one of them. Keep your pen at the ready to help defend anyone who needs defending because of the "scum." Their path is dark, but now others can clearly see them for what they are ~ duplicitous schemers. Jan's right...I am truly delighted and touched by the kindness of your thoughts. Soup admin are doing nothing to deal with behaviour on the site - I am saddened Lin is leaving she has her reasons as she wrote about but I doubt she will be the last . I am sure Lin will be delighted by the poem i will tell her as she won't know its been posted. Hugs jan xx

Jan, you speak the truth about the way in which Soup admin does nothing to put an end to the misconduct of those who "stir the pot." It's a phrase used over and over, but one that is appropriate on the site. Thanks for your insight. I just wish more people would pay attention to it.
