Fancy That

Have you ever woke up one morning, and wondered what ever have you done? Well that is exactly what happened to the troll this story is based upon. One night he went out a partying with some dear old friends he knew. Hanging out with best friends, listening to music, is what he meant to do. But somewhere alone the way, with a lot excess in all he drank… It seems he sallied forth to meet a female, as he now felt very swank. Now trolls, really aren’t very pretty, in almost any way at all… But he was feeling great as the beers added up, leading to his fall. With time he spied the greatest beauty, in which he had ever seen. Immediately, he waxed poetic toward her, as he began to preen. Unfortunately what he thought so great: was actually as annoying as can be. And that great beauty was a witch with a nose wart, plain for all to see… And she thought he was making fun of her, as the night began to unfold… She decided to give him a present, something everyone else could behold. So she turned his ugly, listless, hair into a curling pile of blue ribbons, oh so fair. Surprisingly, he loved it and told her quite sincerely and with much great flair… The next day she came around to check what despair she’d wonderfully wrought… But again he was happy, with every thing she told him she, to him, had brought. Apparently, he might be ugly, but his sense of humor was really great. They soon married as that humorous spark, made them happy with their fate. Have you ever woke up one morning, and wondered what ever have you done? I hope it made you as happy as The Troll With The Blue Ribbon Hair has become.

Hi Carol - Interesting poem. Sometimes in spite of themselves, people, with all of their flaws, still fall in love with each other. Well-said in a light-hearted way! - Gail

Just goes to show that love is blind, we don't wake up till the deed is done! Wild story that I enjoyed.

LOL EVERY morning I wonder what I have done to be where I am today, Carol. I loved your story of this troll who found a "troless" to give him blue ribbon hair. What a delight to read! Love, carolyn
