Family Means the Most To Me

Family means the most to me And yet it is dry ice in my hands Wind across the shivering sands El Dorado of wilted destiny Family means the most to me From the beginning of my quest My heart like a tongue yearning at its breast The stag the fawns forever flee Family means the most to me O God, give my fingers strength to hold Volumes of its shreds of gold Family means the most to me.

Family values have taken a beating in the past 30 years. This one says a lot. God Bless. Vince

These words are golden, David. Families are so important and worth the work, sacrifice, more hard work, forgiveness, and self-less-ness required to keep them going. Thank you for your beautiful poem this day. Love, Dane

You've spoken from your heart David in a very beautiful way. It means the most to me as well.
