Family Law

Family Law Immaturity comes from lack of knowledge. This sheltered woman was raised polished To not speak up against the man's ways. Lest I got a bare ass lesson in shame. I ran away from my parents loud silence To an older man's quest for compliance. Away from the mental screams for attention, Where my child was used as a weapon. Later married where lessons were served Rough, ragged, bruised, screams unnerved, Choked. My own child watching wild-eyed; Learned to accept my fate - taught blind. Terror great in my child's eye trying to choose To help or listen, who should she listen to? I knew that it should of never been a decision Between either of the instructions given. The days grew longer and the fights pursued. Faith has been broken, battered, bruised My child watched her mom and dad fight I was punished for trying to prove I was right

Whoa, a powerful poem indeed! So hard in some families to grow up afraid to speak and far worse. I have seen some awful teachers hit children when they express joy and also humiliate them to the point of tears. So glad I do not have to witness that now! Bless all children and families, too Love, Panagiota

Recently updated this poem if you dont mind re-reading it, I'd appreciate it. I tried sharing with my young adult child and it choked me up to where ai couldnt read it to her because it is such an emotional experience for me, so I very much appreciate your time.

to shelter one is to protect them up until a point, how far does that grip expand?

So sad, and so true; a "wow" in that way. It is difficult to hear the truth like this, but some of us hear and can fully empathize. We do not understand, but we can empathize.

Frankii, it's very heart breaking when children have to bear the pointed edges of adult mistakes. I know the marks it can leave. Please know you are in my prayers. Reta

yes, for myself when young, I remember attending events...seeing booths for child abuse, and wondering about those hidden under the clutches of mental abuse... sad, real sad
