Family

I didn’t understand what the family was. I didn’t understand what I was. So my family were dysfunctional. But they forced me to wake up. Rejection and betrayal, hate and attachment shape the heart and wake the soul. It’s messy to go through your own personal hell, You must lose everything and everyone you have to find yourself. You must be utterly alone and broken before you can find yourself. Then slowly you can learn to trust yourself, And bit by bit become a stable source of life. Become connected to the source of all things. When you become that person it’s time to stop being a zombie. A family can manifest, Each member challenging an aspect of you, Giving you an opportunity to perfect the light that you found in your heart. Each member is a secret part of you; Each member is a mirror of a deeper aspect of yourself. But different from before, Because in them, Reflected in them, Is the light that you found inside of yourself. They become a stable circle of love and wisdom, As opposed to the unstable prison wardens to your own private hell. Dysfunction begins to serve the function of personal growth.
