Fallen Star

How my star has fallen... Now hip deep in the mundane wasteland of mere obscurity. Casually strolling through the drug store… Hanging on to the laser thin strands of sanity that we both have left... Peeking into the dark bedrooms, hoping the kids are still exhaling... Rusty thoughts of cleaner days almost forgotten. Blood on the floor, screams echo in the room. Lost smiles collect in the photo albums in the closet. Will you ever come back to me? Should I check you in? Maybe a nice long rest with the cutters and the freaks. I'm going to bed now like I always do. I'm losing my will as are you... Perhaps I'll see you tomorrow unless there's some spectacular end... Maybe I'll see you in a dream where we both seem to win.
