Fallen
In two weeks time we will all remember,
About that awesome 11th of November.
When the guns fell silent in foreign lands,
When blood soaked away in desert sands.
We remember not just our fallen troops,
We must remember their support groups.
The doctors and nurses as the battles rage,
They were always there on centre stage.
Amid the gore and blood they stood,
Doing the very best they could.
Some non combatants but not all,
They all answered the nations call.
They all put their lives on the line,
In the hope all would be fine.
Like the troops, seamen and fliers,
They all came to quench the enemy fires.
So many fallen in theaters of war,
How many more must folk endure.
They will always rise again if need be,
Ready and willing to end tyranny.
So God Bless all those who have fallen,
God Bless all those who struggle now.
Your deeds and sacrifice we all as one,
remember, and to you, in honor, we bow.
Thank you.
