Fall Showers
First rain this Fall came this morning.
What a shower!!!
Ushering in the new season,
With a scowl, and a glower.
Cool was the word, when the rain was finally gone,
The air smelled clean and crisp
In the still, early dawn.
A sweater felt snug in the early morning breeze.
Just right for a stroll,
Through the freshly fallen leaves.
Fall brings a promise of good times yet to come.
And a gentle reminder that life, like Summer, soon is gone.
