Oh wretched hearth's sublime
shocked by ensuing climb
so focused on these times
fouling with rampart bind!

The devil ramrods through
his isolative curse,
while angels prime anew
and heaven's song rehearse!

Cursing that faded lot
its happiness in retreat,
while kingdom's saints, lives bought
are hinging on complete!

Their idle duldrum sought
some pleasure of infringe
that binds the truth to ought
and purges hope's impinge!

This carnal minded gain
its organs merely meet,
while spiritual trust restrain ~
Faith's pride . . . not obsolete!
