Faith
All I remembered was the sonorous crash
as the warm sun filtering my windshield in April
my hand pressed on horn loud and shrill
Out of nowhere a red car fast and brash
I could hear someone say ’coma’
Machines sounding ***** and beep
amid that noise, heard you pray and weep
What on earth was this drama?
“Lord, bring her back to me”, you said
“The love and line of my life
My broken and honest wife
Or just now, strike me dead”
And, oh! then, the iridescent light
"Go back child to the one you love
This time the skies can linger above."
And my eyes open to the daylight.
Had always heard and read
Faith can move rocky mountains
Replenish and revive sad, dry fountains.
Yes,I believe, faith plucked me from the dead
