Fairy Tales Aren'T What They Seem

Heavy weights carried on my shoulders, Thousands of crates and carts. Darkness seeps through the crevises, Of my hopeful heart. Clouding my mind, My true feelings and thoughts. Searching for the way of happiness, That i need to be taught. Living for others, Always gives, Never takes. Because all i really ask for, Is to feeling okay. My emotions are running wild, I'm hanging on by a thred. Confused about the books I had as a child, Life is far from the fairy tales I have read. Could life ever be that perfect? Please tell me cuz' I'm in denial. Who came up with the fairy tales story surface? How could they feed all these lies to a child? The heavy weights, Make my whole body shake, They crush me as I fall hard. The thred breaks, By that time it's pitch dark. Crevises and seems break, Letting go of what's left of my broken heart. The clouds become my true feelings and thoughts. I gave up on searching, For me, happiness will never be sought. No more gives, No more takes. Couldn't find the strength, To make myself feel okay. My emotions took over, Can't hold on to that thred, For it had already broke. Resenting the lies told to me as a child, The pages, I ripped right out of the book. Life will never be even close to that perfect, So why dislead your child, Cuz thats not the way that this world now is looked.
