Fading Memories

Is it wrong of me Not wanting to cry Not regretting that I never Got to say a final good bye Nothing more than familiar strangers Never really a happy family Now gone from this earth You’re just a fading memory I will remember you in passing But not morn what was lost I’m a childhood survivor And will persevere at any cost. I wish you well On your spirits final journey And want to thank you For everything you never gave me.
