My simple poem inspired Casarah Nance to write a poem called 'Shine On' please take time to read it too

hugs Jan xx

The candle has been burning brightly in our lives for so many years Sadly it is flickering and nearly burnt down to the quick One day the light will slowly fade The once golden glow will dim Finally to be extinguished and die Then to the light of our lives we will say a sad goodbye Jan Allison

I went out to the Irish bar to listen to some live music - they also had Irish dancing - like from Riverdance. I wrote 2 poems there and then rainy days one when I got home - ... i rarely drink alcohol - should drink 1/2 cider more often. Hugs Jan xx

It just came to me as I was sitting watching the candle flame in the bar we were at Brenda. Dad is getting weaker and fading that I cannot deny but his smile is always there :-) Hugs Jan xx

Beautiful sentiments, Jan. It is great to be able to write about these things. Death and it's processes is tough to deal with.

Writing is helping me so much Faye. I never dreamed my husband's cancer would lead me on such an incredible journey. With everything happening to my parents I guess my emotions could maybe have come out in a negative way and I need to remain focused and as strong as possible. Thanks for your lovely understanding comment I do appreciate it. Hugs Jan xx

HUGS. My father in laws mother passed away last week after a six month long battle with cancer, like the candle wax her body melted away from the dis-ease, you are right on with that comparison. Unfortunatly death is not pretty, but it will happen to everyone. Love the light and keep shining while the world watches, love ya lady

I never ever dreamed i would be called a poet Maurice I guess my creativity was simply hiding until the right time and now it is unleashed and i never ever want it to stop. I agree with what you say i 'see' things in a totally new light now. I will write that poem you mentioned :-) hugs jan xx

once you are a poet, it is always. your eyes your mind have a whole new perspective on life. My heart and my prayers are with you. i think you should write the story you just told me.

I spoke to my son tonight... he says he can see dad fading slowly. I was sitting in the bar listening to the Irish music ... there were candles burning on the tables and this came to me :-( Hugs Jan xx
