Fading Fast
I'm losing ground and fading fast,
not sure how long I'm gonna last.
Moment by moment my isolation grows,
I’m suffocating slowly as the four walls close.
My cries for help resound loudly in my head,
as my mouth opens and closes on words unsaid.
With each new day the pain hits a new low,
and like a violent riptide it sucks me further below.
I'm so tired that simply breathing hurts,
Jesus, merely existing shouldn't be such hard work.
No, I'm not sure how much longer I'm gonna last,
cuz I'm losing ground and fading so damn fast.
