Fade To Grey

The dark angels are rising Towards the light Where their devilish black Will challenge the white From the depths of Hades To the Heavens above They meet on earths surface These black and white doves Their battle cries For the good and the bad For their icons they fight Whether sane or mad Will they ever meet in the middle Than fight this day To merge as one And fade to grey http://www.thehighlanderspoems.com/dark-2.php

Perfect in every way! Resolution right-on; it most certainly had to fade to grey, didn't it? Wonderful poem, James! It reminded me of a poem that I had completely forgotten about. I wrote it some 15 yrs ago. It was called TWILIGHT. If I can find it, I'll post it tho I may have to go look in my old computer for it. Again James ... great work, this! Patty

This could become an intriguing song lyric with very litle adjustment. I like this and the idea is refreshing and novel, almost a foregone collision. ood, James. Thanks as always, Gerard.

I like this. While I'm pretty sure I see what you are shooting for, I relate this to my life with bipolar and the struggle to live in grey. Almost always black and white, the struggle is to live in the grey and this is a good capture of that daily battle - inadvertent or not. Good write. Tony

Wow! I love the amazing imagery of the black and white doves battling before fading to gray. Very compelling poem, dear Highlander! Love, Carolyn
