What an original senryu. Great twist there ... it sorta reminded me of those old movies, where the boy teenager calls up the girl he likes at school, and keeps hanging up the moment she answers (back before caller ID). "By Jove" is funny, too ... have you been reading Sherlock Holmes? ;) That's the only time I've heard that phrase before.

BY JOVE, it's sweet Timothy! ;) lol yes, I am a big fan of the Sherlock series. Dunno, if it was directly from there, but I tend to use old fashioned words, because I'm weird that way. XD Glad you liked this senryu. I don't write a lot of those, but it's fun. <3~Laura
