Face To Face

...inspired by 'Eyes That Last I Saw In Tears' by T.S. Eliot I hear your mourning come but low from yonder sphere, far from the grasp of time and space, yet not the semblance of your face to calm me, let my yearning go, pray, anywhere but here. Though here, I haunt the netherworld, forever crave your countenance so sweet to me yet gone. When at last I float in death's far kingdom I shall gloat to see you fair and wan, no longer kept from your embrace but together face to face, no chance, no happenstance.
