Face Paint

FACE PAINT Will ART take me back to my maker again ? My last breath goes..... as mahogony waits. Scriptures I know have laid paths now and then Gather not roses but thoughts of my face. Shadows are cast as my sods they sink low. I followed the cross with faith and despair. Reckless at times with much sadness bestowed. Drunken nights vexed, I was not always there. Feasting myself on loose women and wine. Cocktails with Satan, I'm sorry were supped. Friends tried their damnest to keep me in line. Values once held are now covered in muck Was sweetness had, as a sinner and saint ? When you see my face, which one will you PAINT ? William Willis
