Waking every morning, Heart beating in my chest, Deep breaths taken and released: I'm alive and I am blessed. My eyes can see the beauty, Of God's glorious creation. His flora and His fauna, Fill me with admiration. My ears can hear the crickets chirp, And a baby's fretful cry, Children laughing as they play, And the softest heartfelt sigh. I can feel the sun upon my face, And sand between my toes. My voice can speak, my mind can think, And I can smell a rose. I tend to take for granted, These "little" treasures of each day, But should I lose a single one, I'd be filled with much dismay. So I choose to wake each morning, And thank my God above, For all these priceless treasures, And especially for His love.

The artful manner in which you intertwine your ruminative phrases is truly admirable, Kim. Departing to bask in the splendor of paradise and extol the divine craftsmanship of creation evokes a profound sense of calm.
