Every Time I Turn To You
Every time I turn to you for some help,
Silence fills the air
Every time I attempt to make out a yelp,
I feel your despair
And I don’t know why I had to go back to the hospital
But, I will never, ever give up on myself – I’ll stand tall
I can’t recall the times I’ve spent with my friends
Every time I turn to you for some help,
Silence fills the air
Every time I attempt to make out a yelp,
I feel your despair
My heart beats rapidly – many have met their ends
What about you sprinkle relief upon me?
I apologize once again for not letting go of anxiety
Every time I turn to you for some help,
Silence fills the air
Every time I attempt to make out a yelp,
I feel your despair
I promise to be a good person and be the difference I’d like to see on Earth…drowning in sorrow’s pool
I’m fenced in by depression and I fell so far behind in school…oh, I’m such a fool
Forever, I was warm in your arms – I owe you my reverence and a piece of His peace of mind
Every time I turn to you for some help,
Silence fills the air
Every time I attempt to make out a yelp,
I feel your despair
Every time I turn to you for some help,
I wish you wouldn’t give me such a vacant stare
Every time I attempt to make out a yelp,
I feel your despair…turn the positive music up just a hair
I don’t mind, trying to dig for the treasures of tomorrow and simply unwind
If only my mind can rest from daily worry…
Sickened by the gloom of today and I’m cooling off my fiery fury
I do mind, getting weighed down by the aftershocks of being left behind
