Evenings Solace

Tonight’s silver moon clears the ridge; Gliding silently on its nightly flight Pine trees mark its ghostly passage; Three more days to full moon light Tonight’s cool evening breezes; Shoulder back the heat of day Filtered shadows reveal lovers walking hand in hand; Lost in each other, as they hurry on their way A lone cricket in a bush nearby; Sounds the first note of an evening melody Night birds accompany a cricket band; Performing in perfect harmony Tomorrow the earth will scorch again; Under the blazing sun But tomorrow evening shadows will glide; Once again we relax, after the work is done

Very nice. The passage of time, sunrise, sunset - like Fiddler on the Roof. BTW, check the possible typo on 'preforming'. I think you might have meant 'performing'. Cheers, Roy
