Evening On the Pier
Sunsets from the pier
They paint a string of reds
As the horizon spreads
Soon a soft gray
To be alone in thought
Where the pier and sea meet
Away from the loud street
To await night
Finding peace and quiet
Free from a working day
On this pier I will stay
Consumed by stars
