Evening Hue Downs
On the screaming tube
flashes of color
transform images
into an unsettling reality
shining silver
splits the air and
the hearts
of the country’s finest
scarlet remains
and petrified screams
emerge as terror
fills Columbine
stripped of three
colors
foreign territory
gather more hostages
smoldering oranges
two towers
crumble
into eternity
for now colors
fade and fuzz
while reality pauses
I’ve no button for color blindness
