Eternity With God

I was lying in my bed one night, when I began to reminisce. Thinking bout mistakes I made, for which, I felt remiss! Then I began to wonder, as I thought back on old times. How I got to be, just where I am, was the main thought on my mind. Life’s been really good to me, that I will admit! I’ve been pretty lucky, for my age, I’m fairly fit. Sure, there’s been a few rough times, down the road of life I’ve had! But, considering all the years I’ve lived, it ain’t been all that bad! I’ve done the very best I could, to satisfy the Man upstairs! I try to walk the straight and narrow, and always say my daily prayers. I know I’m far from perfect, of that, there is no doubt! But, I’ll keep trying to get better, that’s what my life is all about! I’m really gonna concentrate, and make “living right” my goal! For whatever time I’ve left in life, so I can save my soul! Yes, I made myself a promise, as on through life I trod! I’ll do my very best, so I can spend, eternity with God! Ralph Taylor 09/19/18
